This will either make a lot of sense or spark some debate! Here goes!!!!
Here's my take on why custom, handmade furniture is worth it and what makes it different...
Personal service – Have you ever been unhappy with service? YES. Me to! We care… I think most of us would agree that a call center telephone conversation isnt as nice as a chat with the business owner. He'll make your furniture for you and he's going to need you to be happy if he wants to get paid…
Design customization – My wife and I were married in the Napa Valley, California. One cool evening they lit fire pits in the center of each table, it was magical. Just to bring back a happy memory, we wanted a coffee table with just a simple, small gel burner built in to the center for special occasions. We couldnt find anything even remotely like that so I had to make it myself. Your custom furniture guy can design and build exactly the way you like, he can include all kinds of unique options not available when you buy pre made, mass produced furniture.
Exclusivity – Not vital but nice to have… For some reason it feels good to know that only one exists and you own it.
Superior fit and finish - There's just something about a perfect fit... A perfect fit cosmetically in terms of your style and a perfect fit physically into the space available helps too. It feels great to look closely and still see great qualty in person, not just in the photographs.
Superior materials - It's comforting to know that your furniture isnt just for show... It's made out of materials that will stand the test of time... Thats what you paid for.
Individuality - You're literally the only one of you ever created; I’d say that makes you pretty unique. Your furniture will express who you are, like it or not. What do you want it to say?
