LED STRIP LIGHTS

LED Garage lighting
Everything is safer and easier with great LED shop lighting.

Don't rely on natural light because it'll let you down when you need it.

These days, the bright, white light you get from an LED strip light in a wood shop is crucial.

You can't keep moving around the shop to see what you're working on.

Here's an example:

You mark out a mortise with a marking knife. You place your workpiece in your workbench vise. You get ready to make your cut and you can't see any lines.

You could run a pencil over them but doesn't that defeat the precision of your marking knife?

You could clamp where the light source is but...

It'll be an awkward, poor quality cut, with delays if you have to fix a sloppy joint.

That's time and money.

See where I'm going here?

Time is not your friend, neither is fatigue.

The more you have to do to get a job done, the less you'll enjoy the process.

I've lined up these solutions for shop lighting on a budget. Click any of them for details.

Over Head Lighting
You want to be able to hang them, hook them up and switch them on.

Set them up to switch on or off with a light switch rather than a pull cord. It'll get in the way and could be dangerous.

These LED's link together with a power cord from one light to the next so you can get them up and running in no time.

Handheld strip lighting

Sometimes you have to stand in such a way that you block your light source. Here's where a hand held LED strip light comes in handy.

A great example is when you're working inside a cabinet or standing over a workpiece.

Surface mounted Puck Lights are great for Under Cabinet Lighting.

These come into their own when you need spot lighting, in, under or around, cabinets.

I love them for adding light to storage spaces.

They make it easy to see when I'm looking for something at the back.

They're 1.25 watts with 18 LED's in each one. They are 2 - 5/16 inch wide and come with a 79 inch long connector.
Disclosure - We provide shopping links to every product we write about so you can buy without needing to search for them yourself. The fringe benefit is that we get paid if you do. We only link to trusted vendors like Amazon and you DO NOT pay more for the privilege.

That's how we keep the lights on around here... Sometimes...
